My students need school supplies in general, but I have focused on the materials that would make their writing workshop better. There is no easel in our room, and creating charts is a bit hard.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school is a highly impacted Title I Bilingual School with 70% of our students receiving free or reduced price lunch and a very limited budget for resources. As a teacher in a low income school, with students of many diverse abilities, my students are faced with several challenges in and out of my classroom. However, each one of my students desperately wants to succeed and to accomplish their goals. The socio-emotional and socio-economical needs of these kids are great, and all the help we get can really impact their lives!
My Project
My wonderful and very talented students are need of supplies that can enrich our classroom in general, but mostly our writing workshop, with paper, pens, markers, crayons, colored pencils and bright paper to print their final products, and our classroom in general.
These talented learners, will be motivated to write more if they have cool tools (pens and paper) to write with and the right materials to illustrate their wonderful stories (markers, crayon, colored pencils).
The easel will also allow them to do presentations, Dictado, Anchor Charts, and to display their work in front of their peers without having someone holding their paper for them.
