My Students

Our students are members of a charter school that is a part of the International Baccalaureate Program. This is a worldwide program that is designed to teach students to be inquiry-based learners and that they are a part of a global community and not just a local community.

Our campus is making a push to become more technology based in the classroom and our students are learning how to use this technology in their academic careers in hopes of being inquirers.

Our students are encouraged to use this technology to research answers to the problems they are trying to solve in class as well as to use them in creative ways to express what they have learned.

My Project

As a science department, we are making a push to better align our teaching with the needs and times of today's society. Students need to be fluent in technology more than ever and these Chromebooks will help our students both learn scientific concepts and be able to use them in practical ways.

With these new Chromebooks, my students will be able to complete a variety of project such as presentations, lab simulations, as well as research for projects.

Students will be applying the concepts they learn in class to complete these projects which will better prepare them to use technology while doing science thus preparing them better for careers in science.
