ENSA is a Title I Magnet STEM school. We are an quilt of incredibly different materials that make up our student body. Art is a tool that unifies us. We work together to learn new ways of communicating and thriving in the world around us. Please help us get more art materials to continue this journey!
My Project
Sometimes art class is frustrating because you can't make the materials do what you want them to do or because your body is not cooperating with your brain. My goal is to help students overcome some of these obstacles.
Crayons and colored pencils are materials that we are using a lot because they are simple to clean.
Construction paper crayons show up on many different surfaces and have a bolder color.
Color sticks are basically colored pencils without the wood. This helps reduce student frustration when their pencil breaks or needs to be sharpened AGAIN. Wiggle seats are used for the students that need extra sensory input and "just can't sit still". Honestly, they can't sit still. When their body is moving, it helps their brain focus!
