Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My gifted students are always on the go. As the district's gifted Academy, a gifted middle school in our district, we have a large population of students who have different learning needs and styles. One way to reach our gifted learners is to provide innovative materials. My students are from diverse backgrounds and need every chance I can provide them for differentiation and unique learning opportunities. We are a Title I district and I am always on the lookout for innovative teaching methods to engage my middle school students. My students are always excited to learn!
My Project
The materials being requested for this project will be used to create Enrichment Learning To-Go kits for gifted students to be able to participate in a weekly, virtual before school gifted club from the comfort and safety of their homes.
Gifted students need the opportunity and materials to excel especially during this time of distance learning.
The to-go kits will be utilized on a weekly basis to work on various divergent thinking activities while building a sense of community during a time that has been carved out specifically for gifted learners.
