Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I love my 23 Kindergartners! We have developed such a sweet learning community of friends and helpers. My students treat each other with such respect and kindness. It is truly a HAPPY place to be.
My Kindergarten students enjoy creative ways to express themselves!
We use art mini-lessons to help students learn new and interesting ways to illustrate the characters and settings of their stories. Art lessons are a wonderful way to motivate my students to add details to their stories.
My Project
My students are excited about telling their stories! I want to MOTIVATE and encourage my students to express themselves through art, illustrations, and painting. I teach art mini-lessons using models from some of our favorite children's books. The goal is that the elaboration skills in art will transfer to the skill of adding details as my students transition and develop conventional writing skills. These Art Supplies will give my students the SPACE they need to use painting to Express Themselves on a routine basis. I can't wait to see, hear and display the incredible stories that our Class will create!
