This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love to think outside of the box. They are always creating challenges for each other and show a healthy amount of competitiveness. However, when we are indoors for recess, they become bored and restless for the rest of the day. When recess is outdoors, the kids will run around on the playground, but will sometimes sit and talk about video games and tv shows rather than play. I want to change that.

These board games will help them stay mentally active, and foster their critical thinking skills while the jump ropes and catch toys will encourage them to move around and stay active.

Growing up, there were so many games we would create and play outside or have jump rope challenges, I want my students to be able to do that and stay active and fit.
