My students need rich literature that connects with the natural curiosity my students have about learning and puppets of characters to use their voices to act out stories they read.
I have the pleasure of learning alongside 18 enthusiastic, energetic, caring and curious Kindergarten children who care about each other and the world. We connect using Twitter and Kidblog. We engage with these platforms so we can have conversations and learn from others globally.
Our school is a fun and safe place to learn.
Kindergarten is a wonderful place to learn because we ask questions, make friends and explore what we are curious about. Learning is lots of fun in Kindergarten.
My Project
My students love to read. We need books and puppets. These materials will help students learn about the authors we are exploring and give them an opportunity to act out stories using oral language and the characters in the story. The books and finger puppets are already familiar to my students, so they would be motivated and drawn into exploring the puppets and new books.
Young children need rich, interesting and imaginative literature to encourage them to be creative and inspire them to share their ideas.
As a Kindergarten teacher, I am always looking for ways to bring literacy to life and build excitement so my students are motivated and interested in reading. These books and puppets will both inspire reading and encourage all students to use their oral language in telling their stories.
