My students need new materials that I can check out to them to take home to reinforce their learning at school because they are learning English as a second language.
Have you tried to learn another language? My students need books and games that they can take home to continue learning English. I have a checkout system in my room and I let each student take home a book and game each evening to practice their English. They are very excited to take materials home
My students are in Kindergarten to fourth grade and they are ESL students.
I work with 50 students each day in an intervention program, so these materials would really help our students learn English and would have a positive impact on many families. These students are very motivated to learn English and are very excited when they get to take materials home. They take good care of the materials and bring them back each day.
My Project
Most of these students do not have many books or games at home and so I feel it is a great service to continue to provide materials that they can take home. I have been doing checkout for the past 20 years and many of our materials are torn or worn out. It would be great to have some new materials and they would get much use. The students are very excited to take home games and books to play and read with their families.
Some of these children have moved so often they do not get to bring their belongings with them.
Many of these students do not have very many books or games at home. Sometimes they arrive at our school with nothing more than clothes to wear. The whole family benefits from these materials that we use for checkout. When you donate to this project, you will be making a difference not only for my students but for all the family as well.
