Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are kind, creative, and curious people! They thrive in a classroom environment full of hands-on, active, engaging projects that allow them to think outside the box and create! My students support each other and are learning to advocate for what they feel is just and also support each other in the learning process and outcome.
They arrive to class everyday ready to try new things, show what they know, and support each other in our learning community.
Our elementary school is located in a thriving and diverse community. They are my inspiration to grow as a person and continue to serve my community!
My Project
One of the ways we become curious is when we are cuddled up with a great read. Through these pages, we are given chances to visit other worlds, experience other cultures, and even get to know our own a little better. Magazines are great because often, there is something for everyone! Whether it is the child who wants to learn how to make a sail boat or the student who wants to learn about far away galaxies. Magazines give them the chance to visit places they may not have been or remind them of home. Thank you for you consideration.
