Help me give my students a Koolertron Handheld Portable Video Digital Magnifier Mobile Electronic Reading Aid to support students with visual impairments.
Imagine being asked to learn the exact same way that everyone else does, but the problem is that you're not everyone else. You don't learn the same way or at the same pace. You're unique and special and deserve every tool available for success! That's our class; we are all different and unique learners, and traditional seating options don't support everyone's needs.
In our classroom we have 28 curious, engaged, creative, powerful, little minds wanting to learn and grow daily.
In our pirate themed class, we unite each day knowing that we are creating a school family built on communication and connection. These students come from various backgrounds around Goodyear, Arizona.
We love to read, create vivid writing pieces, team build and learn to problem solve math equations in both small and whole group settings!
At our school, our children come to learn and grow and nurture their curious minds for the future!
My Project
Providing my students who are visually impaired with a Koolertron Handheld Portable Video Digital Magnifier Mobile Electronic Reading Aid is one modification that can help them to be successful learners. This device will help enlarge print on worksheets, and tests, assist them when reading small print in a text book, help them to follow along while their classmates' read or to read when it's their turn. Page magnifiers can help visually impaired students to see their script just as well as their other classmates. This amazing device will greatly benefit them and support their needs in our class community. I look forward to using the Koolerton magnifier to help books to help aid in student success, reading accuracy and math fluency.
With it's large screen, high resolution, screen freeze, and backlight brightness my students will be able to use this to support their visual motor skills and give them the tools that best fit their individual needs to succeed.
Also, since this device is portable, my students will be able to bring this around our classroom during our guided reading, and math centers. The Koolertron will help my students develop visual motor skills and near magnifier fluency skills particularly with the use of a video magnifier.
