Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. This year especially, I know that they are going through so much more that is completely out of their control. Having experienced Hurricane Harvey, many of them are still out of their homes.
My students need a beats pill speaker in the classroom for our projector and we also need a mac mini external hard drive for our classroom projects and apple accessories for our current equipment.
I would like for my students to be able to listen to our lessons without having to constantly go back and review the lesson because they were not able to hear the first time and we need an external memory drive to save our projects.
My Project
The technology in our classroom is essential for student learning. unfortunately we do not have a lot of technology accessories and things we need to keep up with it all.
Students need a beats pill speaker that will assist in our technology education because we often have problems with the audio system in the classroom.
The external mac mini hard drive will assist in storing student projects. We also need apple accessories that we do not have, like adapters.
These will help keep their work organized and stored for future reference. Sometimes parents want to see the student work and what can be better pulling out something from a hard drive that has been stored with their student work. Technology is definately taking over education and we would benefit from staying in tune with the technology advancements.
