My students need tablets to enhance technology-use in order to address their math skills. They will be able to have access to websites during class to work on graphs and chart-like exercises.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I had been working with middle school students since 2015, and it had been a challenge and also a blast to see systematic improvement.
I love their enthusiasm to create, and to try new experiences using tech resources.
I have been teaching Algebra 1 to 7th and 8th graders for three years, having 100% of proficiency in State Tests. But, regarding my Pre-Algebra classes in 8th grade, almost 56% of the population of students are special kids in inclusion settings, and their Math skills are below grade level. Using some strategies with some websites, like IXL I had seen progress in basic and grade level skills, with teacher support. Another characteristic of my students is that the majority are part of ELL Programs and low income families. Also, their potential is based on their effort and consistency, and that's what I love the most!
My Project
I plan to use the Tablets in class to make a difference in my student's math skills. I am planning to use them in different websites like IXL, i-Ready, and also Khan Academy. My students will be using District-based resources during classwork for instructional purposes, as well other websites to be used during Differentiated instruction in order to deal with pre-requisites to current standards.
ESE and ELL students will be using visual aids provided to compare functions presented in tables and graphs.
It will be also useful to practice grade-level standards to improve skills into technology type of questions.
