This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a teacher in a Title 1 school with students coming from a variety of backgrounds including limited English speakers there are many challenges that I face to help my students become successful learners. These students have a passion for learning, but we are limited in our technology resources.

With the use of the technology that your generosity would provide my students can prosper and gain maximum knowledge in the ever changing world of technology.

My class and I would be eternally grateful.

My Project

My classroom is full of innovative learners with an interest in technology. Although the district provides many resources, we do not have adequate and updated devices to meet my students needs in the digital age. With the iPads, my students will have access to all their digital resources including textbooks, myON, Discovery Education and other digital resources that are increasing in numbers on a constant basis.

The iPads will be a great way for students to develop collaboration skills.

They will also be able to apply creativity using the many available apps. Being that we are in a STEAM school, the iPads will enrich the technology portion of our STEAM goals.
