My students need additional reading materials that are interesting and cover nonfiction and science standards.
This project expired on November 27, 2018.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
A majority of my students are low income. I have a culturally diverse class. My students love learning about real life experiences and topics that they can apply to their own lives.
I want to provide my students opportunities to learn about things that truly interest them, so they can be excited about learning.
They have such big hearts and are always eager to learn new things that are relevant to their lives. They have worked so hard and deserve the opportunity to learn from different resources other than the ones provided.
At our school, we do not get any additional funding for resources, and our families sometimes struggle to make ends meet. I would like to provide my class with Scholastic News so that they can have more resources to encourage their love for reading and learning.
Scholastic News includes topics that are current, relatable, and interesting for students to read and enjoy.
Students will use the Scholastic News magazines as an extension of our reading lessons. They will also be able to take them home to share with their families. I am so excited to possibly be able to utilize this resource!
