Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My class consists of a group of middle and high school students who are at various academic levels in a Title I school. They are part of the Engineering Arts and Technology Magnet, therefore they look forward to working together with their classmates and sharing the knowledge they have gained. As enthusiastic learners they come to class every day eager to learn something new. Currently they have a limited view of our assignments, videos and text due to the screen projector we currently have. The limited projection makes it difficult for all students to access the projected visuals. A large projector screen will help students stay engaged and actively participate in daily lessons.
My Project
In order to provide educational equity to all my students, we need to replace the small projector screen we currently have. The 120" screen projector will give access to all students regardless of where they sit in the classroom. My visual learners will also greatly benefit from the larger screen, since the lessons will be clearly displayed for them. Students will be much more engaged and willing to interact with daily lessons. Playing Kahoot! and viewing educational videos on the large screen projector will make learning much more engaging and fun. Overall the screen projector will impact the learning of all my students.
