This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Students have returned for the second semester with new math goals and action plans for success. In order to help them reach their goals, I want to shift instructional time to include more collaboration and shared insights among the students. I am reaching out to you for support in acquiring collapsible whiteboards and dry-erase markers to empower students to actively explore and share their thinking.

With your help, my students will have regular opportunities to gather in small groups where they collectively revisit key concepts, work through challenging problems, and reinforce their understanding of mathematical principles.

The collapsible whiteboards and dry-erase markers will serve as dynamic canvases for students to document and refine their thoughts while actively engaging in peer learning. The small group work sessions will provide a comfortable space where students feel less intimidated than sharing with the entire class. It will also enable me to address individual needs and provide targeted support to students, as needed. Moreover, the collapsible boards can be conveniently stored when not in use.

By contributing to this project, you are fostering a community of learners where mathematics is a collaborative journey with every student engaged.
