This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Dear Donors Choose Community,

I am requesting your support for a project aimed at revolutionizing our learning spaces to benefit our students through adaptable classroom spaces.

The backpack holder and storage units with large cubbies will optimize classroom space, allowing seamless transitions between activities and fostering an organized learning environment. This practical addition empowers students to take responsibility for keeping their spaces tidy, promoting a sense of ownership and organization.

In my classroom I have two mental break areas. In one of the areas I would like to include a rolling chair to facilitate movement and brief physical activity, promoting mental well-being and re-energizing students during longer learning sessions. Moreover, the other area is in need of a comfortable chair and a desk to store fidgets, will serve as a designated area for students to take brief mental breaks. Equipped with tools like stress balls or sensory items, this space will aid students in recharging and refocusing, thereby enhancing their concentration and academic performance.

The introduction of various chairs, lap desks, and a kidney table will offer students the freedom to select seating that suits their learning preferences. Research has shown that such flexibility positively influences student engagement and academic success, allowing them to choose the best seating arrangement for their learning style.
