Help me give my students materials to build on our project based learning! We are studying the effects of our animals and the symbiotic relationship with our garden! We need some basic supplies to further build our systems!
At KCDS we value full nature immersion! It is a special school where students spent a great deal of time learning what nature has to teach us. Students are empowered through having choice in the design of our projects by finding solutions to environmental issues. We are currently studying regenerative methods and the symbiotic relationships between farm animals, the school garden, and soil health! This is a student led project and we need a few materials to continue with this hands-on process!
A few of these interactive projects include cutting down on invasive species to regrow native plants, building a tunnel system for chickens to work their magic in the garden & increase natural soil disturbance, and using compost to reduce school food waste and turn it into rich soil for our school garden!
As stated by a student, "KCDS has a special environment that has been built from the creativeness of everyone. With help, we can help benefit the animals, ecosystem, and help educate our students. These things will help our minds and ecosystems grow."
