My Students
I am a third grade teacher. A lot of my students are English Language Learners. I have a high Hispanic population. I also have several students with special needs. They are from low income families. I have been recently transfered to this school and I would like to meet the vast needs of my students. I want to see them develop strong reading. Writing and math skills so they can have a good future. It has been proven that children who are readinag on grade level at the end of third grade stand a greater chance of success in the future.
My Project
My students are easily distracted when they are trying to read. The privacy boards will help them be able to focus as readers. The fluency center will allow them the opportunity to practice reading with a peer. Reading is a essential skill. If students are struggling with reading they are likely to get frustrated and drop out before completing High School. I want to do everything I can to encourage my students to be strong independent fluent readers. I am consistently seeking resources to enhance my students reading level. I appreciate your support in this endeavor. It will benefit my students
