I love teaching, and especially enjoy teaching at my building. Our school is full of love for all and there is a sense of family. It is important in our building that everyone has a sense of belonging and they know they are important.
I teach at a very diverse school with many different cultures, backgrounds and families.
We are a Title I school with 92% of the students receiving free/reduced lunches. The students in the building range from Pre-K through 5th grade.
My Project
Our classroom is loooking for different nonfiction materials to enhance our learning. Those materials include new nonfiction books and Time for Kids magazines for each student in the classroom. Our students love nonfiction and it really sparks their interest in different topics. Some topics they are familiar with and others are brand new topics. The magazines will bring a new topic in each issue. There are many different types of nonfiction books and we are trying to grow our classroom library with the new books. It would be a great start to the new school year with new nonfiction material to spruce up our classroom. It’s our goal as teachers to get students excited about learning and I believe these materials will help. New nonfiction materials will help enhance our learning experiences within the classroom.
