My Students

I teach ESL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) for kindergarten through fifth grade. The students are of various academic levels, but they love to learn and get excited about reading and learning the English language when they realize they really can do it! They are from many countries around the world, and it is a treat to watch them grow throughout the school year and see how their English can flourish in the right educational setting. They love to learn, and it is a joy to teach in an ESL classroom.

My Project

Having access to books outside of school is critical for students to become successful readers and by offering a digital formal, they will be able to access books or reading worksheets on their tablets, computers, or phones whenever they want to read or do extra reading practice at home!

The leveled readers offered on this web site are an excellent way for students to know which books are within their reading range so they can choose books that are on their reading level.

The Reading A-Z program helps the students work toward their personal reading goal not only in the classroom but at home as well.
