We are a rural community, about 2 hours North of Boston. Like most fourth graders, they love to learn and share their thoughts with each other. I want to create problem solvers
We are working on connecting our reading to real world problems and our writing experience.
I love to challenge their thinking.
Our classroom has many desks that have seen better days and tables that take too much space. I want to maximize our classroom space using flexible seating.
My Project
Currently my seating situation is less than desirable. Desk are falling apart. With these desk we can use them in a variety of settings--on the floor, with a chair, to do outside school. It will also help my students that need alternative seating.
The needs of my students have changed in the past couple of years and I am trying to build my ELA games and activities.
I am in my second year of teaching 4th grade, prior I was a Kindergarten teacher. Kindergarten to 4th is a big gap.
