Engineers in Training: Three Little Pigs Challenge

Help me give my students various mediums such as wooden planks, straws, and block bricks to build like the three little pigs!

My Project

My students are biologist, computer science wizards and engineers in training! I have been working hard to create a better learning environment for my students. I challenge my students to think outside the box from when building with simple materials to ignite their imaginations!

Simple building items - think three little pigs - can make a big differences with engineering challenges!

Items like building straws will help my students to create structures with bendable edges that can be connected. Students will be challenged to be sure that the connectors are strong. The wooden building planks will challenge students to build structures with strong bases, especially because the planks are not able to connect. Finally, building bricks will help students to visualize and see the impact that being connected and interlocked can have on a structures strength.

The building items seem so simple, but are going to make a huge impact on my science classroom and students final projects.
