Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Imagine working at a school where 95% of your population are native Spanish speakers and many of them have educational gaps but they truly enjoy reading. They work hard every single day and are constantly reflective.

We need to go beyond the point of students knowing the definition of empathy, justice, courage, and perseverance.

I work at a Title I school where they all qualify to receive free breakfast and lunch. My students are hardworking scholars who often have perfect attendance and see the importance of getting an education.

My Project

We are a Dual Immersion 6th grade classroom. My students are creative, ambitious, kind, and responsible. They are eager learners ready for success. We enjoy creating and building during our engineering class and reinforcing our classroom culture by collaborating in groups.

Students are ready to learn, build and create at all times!

The only obstacle at the moment is the lack of resources and of course the lack of funds to obtain the resources. These materials will make a difference because the students will be able to obtain hands on experience while discovering new strengths and hobbies they might have.
