My Students

My students are thrilling and eager to learn! They make teaching exciting and make me very proud! My students come from very diverse backgrounds. The majority of our students qualify for free and reduced-price lunch and often times don't have access to certain resources unless they are at school. I strive to make learning engaging and strive to make sure each of my students realizes their potential!

First grade is packed full of important tasks, and I love watching my students grow throughout the year!

My Project

My first graders love to build and work together. I would love to incorporate and add more STEM stations into our Math and Science groups.

STEM skills are so important for twenty-first century and college readiness skills.

These stations would help strengthen my students' science and math skills. They would use these during Science and Math learning groups to learn about sink, float, motion, and learn about the way things move. Students will create a variety of structures and collaborate with one another on how to improve and change their buildings.

This project will not only increase STEM and twenty first century skills among my students, but also collaborative and language skills will be richer.
