This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are creative thinkers, innovative learners and motivated achievers. They come to school eager to learn and to be inspired by new and exciting ideas and projects.

Many of my students do not have access or exposure to hands-on manipulatives that allow them to engineer and use their critical thinking or problem solving skills outside of our school.

My students come alive when they are given the opportunity to build, create, and develop different things that support the curriculum and their learning.

My Project

Critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity, known as the 4 C's, are the most important skills required for 21st century education. The Rigamajig Jr. building set is an incredible resource to have in the classroom to help students practice and develop these important skills.

My students will absolutely love the Rigamajig Jr set, because it is a building kit that will allow them to develop critical thinking skills through hands-on play and learning.

This collection of wooden planks, wheels, pulleys, nuts, bolts and rope will allow my students to follow their curiosity through play.
