Students learn through their experiences and hands-on activities. So why not give them more opportunities to do so using fun and engaging STEM activities with project-based learning. My students are waiting to have that opportunity!
My students come from diverse backgrounds and economic statures.
Many of the students have limited access to STEM educational materials within their homes. These students need diverse, hands-on activities that will help to maintain and/or develop that joy of science and engineering within the classroom.
My Project
The purpose of the “Engineering to the Rescue” is to provide an innovative, learning experience to help elicit excitement in STEM and to enhance the classroom instruction. Most children love science, however there are minimal resources at the elementary level that help refine and cultivate a student’s scientific mindset. "Engineering to the Rescue” is designed to bring unique educational experiences consisting of hands-on, interactive activities as the students engineer “aid drop packages” that can be dropped from an aircraft, protect what’s inside, and are easy to find once they reach the ground.
The donations will provide my students with activities and experiments that will help make real-life connections.
The activities also provide a fun, engaging way to comprehend science and engineering concepts. These activities and experiments will change my students' lives will create lifelong educational memories.
