My students are motivated by creativity and that allows them to be engaged in STEM activities. The 2021-2022 school year will be the second year I will be teaching a new STEM class. The students are very excited about this opportunity.
My students come from diverse backgrounds and strength levels including a district inclusive ESL program.
Hands-on projects really bridge all the gaps and allow them to collaborate.
I am extremely excited to see how they solve problems and what they create.
Engineering concepts are made easier by hands on experiences. These models that I want for my students will let them solve work problems. The amount of work in a project does not change, it is how you do the work that makes a difference. Every project they do in my class is based on their engineering knowledge.
Simple machines are the building blocks of engineering.
These kits will help the students make the concept of work a skill. As they go through this semester, they will have problems to solve and have to decide what machine they will use to solve the problem.
