My Students

John Dewey once said that, "Every great advance in science has issued from a new audacity of imagination." My students/future scientists have a huge imagination. Will you help give them the tools they need to explore?

We live in a suburb of a major city.

We are nestled between a high tech industry area, and farmland. As a result, we have a very diverse population where some families are migrant farm workers, and others are employees of the high tech industry. We are a school of about 325 students. A large portion of our school are identified as economically disadvantaged. The students are great! They love to learn and they are very interested in exploring Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

My Project

We are looking for resources to help engage students in engineering and design activities in our K-6 classes. Legos will become an important component to students' designing and discovering experiences. From the larger Legos for the younger children, to opportunities for Lego Robotics in the upper grades, students to try, create, think, and grow. Thank you for your interest in supporting student learning. If we can engage students in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics in the elementary grades they will continue to pursue those areas throughout their school years and into the workforce.

Help aid students with their designing and discovering by providing them with the essential materials needed.
