Engineering Academy In Need

My students need a Mac to complete graphic design in our Academy. Our students have lab stations and use Photoshop, Adobe After Effects and our PCs don't have the capacity to use these programs.

My Students

My students are learning the basics of Engineering and rotate through different lab stations to learn different engineering fields. Our lab is very old and we are trying to update the lab, but need equipment and tools to help the students learn with new technology to intrigue them in Engineering.

My students are the top of the class at our high school.

They come from different schools in the district and are chosen to be in the Academy. The students use lab equipment and complete projects that introduce them into the engineering world. Our school is in Texas and it is a diverse school and our school aims to introduce students to the newest technology. In our Academy, we have bright students eager to learn and excel.

My Project

One of our labs we are currently using deals with Adobe products such as Photoshop, Flash and After Effects. The PC that we currently have does not give the students the graphic capability they need for more advanced projects. We have students that are interested in graphic design and want to show them how things work in a real world situation like many of our other labs.

My project will make a difference to my students because it will prepare them for studying to be computer/software engineers or graphic designers.

It will teach them how to use the tools and equipment they will need for that job. We also certify the students in those Adobe products with the Macbook they are able to see the full capacity of the products to help them pass the certification.
