My Students

I teach a group of kindergarteners and first graders in a multiage STEM classroom. They come to school each day ready to take chances, make mistakes, and learn new things.

My early learners are inquisitive and excited to learn about the world around them.

They enjoy using the engineering design process to solve problems, work collaboratively, and continuously improve their thinking. They also enjoy listening to or reading books that expand their knowledge, build problem solving skills, and promote thinking!

My Project

Our STEM program doubled this year. We have twice as many students and classrooms compared to last year. While this is amazing, it leaves my classroom library lacking in high quality books focusing on STEM. My classroom is in need of books specifically directed towards engineering and problem solving.

Books open the door to endless learning, wonder, and exploration!

These books will provide all of that to my students in our classroom library. More specifically, these books would provide my students with more opportunities to explore the world around them and encourage them to think outside of the box. I want my students to feel empowered and believe that they can do anything!
