My students need STEM toys: Bristle Builders, Playstix, Translucent Imagination Builders, Tabletop Hardwood Blocks, and Crazy Shapes Magnetic Building Blocks.
My students are enthusiastic, energetic, and full of ideas! We are a small, close-knit rural school. First graders love learning, creating, and building their independence.
These kiddos love hands-on engineering activities that allow them to design, build, and create!
Our most popular recess activities are various building blocks and materials. 1st Graders are full of ideas and endless creativity. While they play, they are practicing STEM skills and perseverance. Our school's growth mindset focus emphasizes the power of "yet", and working hard until a goal is achieved. STEM toys allow kids to flex these growth mindset muscles while engaging in good, old-fashioned play!
My Project
My classroom needs open-ended building toys to inspire student creativity and STEM skills. Seemingly simple toys are always the most popular during indoor recess. Surprisingly, students don't crave extra screen time - they love the possibilities of building and imaginative toys!
My first graders are longing for new hands-on building blocks and creative toys.
Translucent and magnetic building blocks put an exciting twist on a classic. Bristle blocks inspire realistic or crazy creations. Playstix require practice with balance, proportion, and design, all while being just plain fun to use!
These students would love some fresh new creative play items to engage their imaginations.
