My students are Michigan area students who come from lower to middle income families. Many students have limited access to normal household settings. Students have a close bond culture in which they interact both in and out of school.
Students thrive with project based learning.
Creating projects and hands on activities really help their critical thinking learning and logical thought process. STEM programs that support creation and the ability to engineer projects make learning fun and exciting. Students want to build, touch, and create.
Students love STEM projects and the chance to create something from their own mind. Students love a classroom where it is not just writing papers or doing math problems on a worksheet. Collaboration and working with partners helps develop them as people and learners.
Students thrive of project based activities and working with their hands. Students are tired of taking notes and studying for tests. Skills like building and creating projects from scratch inspire students to imagine and design without boundaries. The makedo toolbox gives students tolls and hardware that can be used to create amazing projects.
Students love and thrive on project based learning.
When students have hands on experiences and learn skills in building and engineering, they are engaged with the activity. The skills learned through project based learning include time management, teamwork, engineering, troubleshooting.
Students learn how to cooperate together and work as a team toward a common goal or project. These social skills prepares students for real world events outside of school.
