This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
This year I have a split class of 1st and 2nd graders. My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. For this project we are looking for some everyday supplies to help make our learning more engaging.
My Project
These materials will help promote our hands on projects and our everyday assignments. This year we have adopted a new social studies curriculum called Project Place. Within our learning students make, sell, and advertise products. We also campaign to community leaders to fix an issue in our community. These needed materials will help us create the posters and complete other hands on assignments within social studies.
These materials will enhance our creativity and engage our minds.
We can further differentiate concepts in math for a more clear understanding. We can engage colors into our writing to promote word development and connect ideas. Help us bring more color into our learning!
