My kids bring joy to me, every single day. They are filled with questions, energy, and kindness. We focus the most in our classroom on being kind to one another. My students come from all different backgrounds and that is what makes my classroom special. I lead by example on how we treat ourselves and one another. It has been amazing to see how this transfers into what my students do and say.
You would not believe the kindness that they elude to each other.
One of my students you could say was a bit of a handful. When things did not go his way, he would throw things, scream, and cry. At first, my students did not know how to handle this, but together we learned and we learned to include him and show him love and kindness. He moved to a different school and on his last day he went around the room and was embraced by 22 hugs. He left his friends with tears in their eyes. This is just one example of the love they have in their hearts. I want to help them to continue to exude this love and kindness. They are all blessings.
My Project
I am working towards my masters' degree in differentiated instruction. I am hoping to learn how to better meet my students' needs emotionally, behaviorally, and academically. I am also learning new ways every day on how to better incorporate technology into teaching. Since distance learning has begun I have learned many new ways to reach my students' needs by using technology.
I currently do not have an iPad and am finding that this is limiting all of what I want to be able to do.
I am excited for all that I am learning and am hoping to get an iPad so that I can better implement this into my everyday teaching.
