My Students

I teach first grade in a small school district with a big heart. We are desperately trying to survive in this struggling economy. The CA budget crisis has put a real strain on our district. We have had to make serious cutbacks and unfortunately technology is just one of the many areas cut.

My students are energetic, talented, hard-working, and inspiring young individuals.

They are just beginning to explore the world around them. My students need detailed, explicit instruction to participate in science projects and mathematical problems and an ELMO would allow for such instruction.

My Project

An ELMO document camera will enhance my students' experience everyday by allowing me to display real world examples of the curriculum. When paired with the projector I have, this visual presenter will be used to enhance anything from a mathematical problem to a real live earthworm for all of my students to see. It will also ensure that all students will be engaged, excited, and able to follow along and view lessons and examples. Students will be able to explore and see how science and mathematics directly relates to them. .

Your help will ensure that my students cultivate a desire and love of science and mathematics that will not only help them now but throughout the rest of their lives.

The best part of this project is that it will not only benefit my class for this year, but it will benefit every student who walks through my door now and in the future.
