Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 5th graders are from a low income, urban setting! Some of them have recently been provided a laptop by our school but it has still been difficult for many of them to access the programs where we are assigning work! Some parents are illiterate and/or lacking technology skills to assist their students!

My Project

In this new chapter of learning, it has been hard finding ways to engage my students and get them to practice their math skills at home! These flash cards are a quick, easy way for my students to practice their multiplication facts at home!

Learning skills at home can be done by just playing games with their families!

The Uno cards and playing cards will be helpful in practicing skills like taking turns and being respectful winners! The playing cards can be used for so many different math games that I will be sharing with them!
