Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Students not only suffer from lack of resources at home, but schools must also scrape by on the minimum. My students are faced with challenges in their everyday lives. Most of my students come from low-income/high poverty families, but that does not keep them from being eager to learn.
Students in Spanish I and II are being prepared to get credits for high school and students need different sources of exposure to learn the language.
Every day is challenge, but we are in this journey together.
My Project
Not only is it my responsibility to teach Spanish topics to my students, but I feel I must provide them with as many real-world opportunities in order to better prepare them to be a professional bilinguals persons.
Giving my students an iPad holder with the portable green screen will help them practice speaking Spanish using multimedia tools and enhanced with the green screen.
Making Spanish fun and preparing them for the future in a fun and engaging way will make our lessons memorable and easier to grasp.
They will also be conducting interviews to staff and document different culture experiences.
