My Students

My classroom is made up of 14 enthusiastic, engaging, and fun-loving kindergartners. I teach in a small rural Virginia community at a Title I school with approximately 50% of students receiving free and reduced lunch. Our school has about 200 students from preschool to 5th grade. Many of these students have experienced more hardships in their short little life than some have experienced in their adult lifetime. I work with students from very different backgrounds and ability levels. Between 22-25% of our student population receives special education services. Each student brings a unique and interesting experience to our classroom community.

Every student deserves the opportunity to be successful.

As a third year teacher, I have a desire to provide a safe, secure, and warm environment that fosters kindness, a love of learning, and opportunities to succeed.

My Project

Teachers Pay Teachers is a great resource where grade level appropriate lessons and units that enhance our kindergarten curriculum can be purchased. These resources are made by teachers for teachers, which means that if you support my project, you are supporting other teachers as well.

TPT resources will provide differentiated, engaging, hands on activities for both math and reading centers.

There are thousands of resources to choose from that will be used for years to come to create a motivating learning experience. Students will learn through such activities as games, puzzles, decodable readers, writing activities, centers, assessments, stem projects, and so much more.
