Help me give my students new and interesting books to read! My students love participating in SSR and Book Clubs, and these books will give them new and engaging material to read!
I teach 14-18-year-old high school students who come from a variety of backgrounds. Students at my school range from devouring new books every week to beginning the process of learning to explore books and figuring out what they enjoy reading.
My students are eager learners, looking for new books to explore, read, and learn from.
They need access to books of all levels, books that open their world and their minds. They want to learn and read about people who are similar to them, as well as people who are different from them.
My Project
These books will be used to engage high school-aged readers and give them a chance to find or rediscover their love of reading! These books will provide my students with recent, real, and engaging reading experiences that they can connect with, talk about, and enjoy. These books are diverse and deal with real-world issues that students can relate to, learn from, and communicate about.
Students should have choice in what they read- and should be given lots of options to choose from!
These books will expand their reading options and give students more opportunities to find books they love and discover a new love and appreciation for reading.
