My Students
My students are awesome and avid learners! I teach in a first grade public school classroom with several English language learners. My students enjoy choosing where they want to complete their work and what methods they want to use.
My students come from many different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
They are wonderful kids who come to school each day eager to learn with big smiles on their faces! They come to school each day to do their best and make everyone proud.
My Project
These materials will be used to help my students increase their reading comprehension. Reading is not only reciting the words on a page, but understanding what the characters are doing in the story and what the story is about.
My students need a variety of engaging books to read in order for their reading comprehension to improve.
These books will be used for whole group and will also be placed in the classroom library so that students can have access to them. Having a variety of books is essential because we have a variety of students from diverse backgrounds that have different interests.
