My students need higher level chapter books and engaging series to continue to develop their love of reading and encourage the development of increased fluency and reading stamina.

Offering a differentiated learning experience catered to meet the needs of each individual student is crucial to the success of a classroom and the engagement of each learner. In our classroom we are each aware of our learning styles, needs, and interests, and this keeps each of us engaged and challenged.
My Project
This collection of fiction books from popular series will serve to build our class library in a much needed way. Students are given ample reading time - time to read aloud with a buddy, time to silent read, and time to read in reading groups where each students holds a book club role. As my third graders are advancing in their reading abilities - both fluency and comprehension - we are in need of increasingly challenging texts to keep them engaged and to encourage a continued love of reading.
My students have requested these specific texts and I am doing all that I can to procure the series that have sparked their interest.
In addition to student reading time, we will use some of the books as our class read aloud novels.
