My Students

All students should have many opportunities to hear fluent reading, but many students are given few.

The students in my class are kindergarten through fifth graders who are currently performing below grade level and require extra support.

They are wonderful, hard-working students who would love access to materials that will help them improve their reading skills.

My Project

My students love technology! Everyday they ask for the computers during reading time in order to listen to texts read to them. When they have the technology, they stay engaged for longer periods of time. However, it can get distracting with multiple students using technology and no headphones.

My students need headphones in order to listen to texts at their reading levels to improve literacy skills without disrupting others.

Students will be able to independently read along with grade level texts as they listen to fluent reading. In addition, these headphones will allow students to listen to texts that would otherwise be too difficult for them.
