Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My spunky 6th graders are a reflection of me and the hope I have in the future generation. They are enthusiastic and love to question the world around them. We are a tight knit classroom community that strives to include everyone.

Each person in our classroom plays a valuable role each week through our daily jobs.

I feel that it's important to teach students responsibility early on. Members of our classroom come from various socioeconomic backgrounds, types of families and faiths. However, we all blend together to make our classroom a great place to be.

My Project

Scholastic News not only helps students stay up to date on the world around them but, students really enjoy the debate section. Each issue has hot topics in their debate section that really engage readers and are amazing for promoting persuasive writing.

Through the use of print and digital-print/audiobooks students will be able to engage in language arts on a high level.

Headphones will also allow my students to access audiobooks on Sora through the safety of their our classroom. Students will be able to access books from our classroom without having to go to the public library and risk potentially getting Covid.
