Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Each year, I have an incredible group of students. My students are caring, determined, and ready to learn. This year my class is exceptionally great because despite the world we are in currently, they continue to surprise me with their knowledge.
This year has been incredibly different with COVID and teaching virtually.
Despite their struggles, my students login each day knowing it’s a safe place to learn. My students come from a rougher part of town and have a lot on their plate. Most of my families struggle to find employment and opportunity.
My Project
I received an awesome training on interactive read aloud and would love to implement this in my classroom. When I started looking in my library, I did not have all of these books. I started to search them online and realized I couldn't get all of them I wanted.
I would love these books to help my students passion for reading grow.
In first grade, reading is extremely important. We are teaching young learners to read as well as find a passion and love for books.
