My Students

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences. It is important for my scholars to be exposed to a variety of learning methods and experiences in order to enrich their lives.

One of these learning experiences comes through our use of technology in the classroom.

We are lucky to have desktop computers and iPads for our kiddos to explore and learn through websites and apps. However, we do not have enough headphones to match our technology.

My Project

A classroom set of headphones will help my scholars stay focused and engaged in their digital learning. We use a handful of apps and websites that target areas that students need help with in both reading and math. They also target student's listening and comprehension skills. If we receive headphones for each child, we will be able to pay better attention and gain more out of our technology time.

It is so important that my scholars learn 21st century skills through the use of technology.

I am hoping that this donation will help strengthen these skills and open more opportunities for them to engage in digital learning.
