Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is the first dual language immersion in our school district. It is located in a low socio-economic area, in which all students receive free lunch. Our school strives to produce bilingual responsible young people. My class consists of 26 enthusiastic students who are learning to embrace each other, as well as a new culture.

My students are compassionate young learners who enjoy teaching and learning from each other!

They enjoy working in a small group setting and are eager to help their peers.

My Project

I would love for my students to have access to iPads in the classroom. My school has started having students return to school, and I have four kiddos in my classroom. Even though all students have one to one Chromebook access their differentiation and creativity is limited.

Allow my in-class students to have access to technology that will bring out their creative side.

The students who are actually attending in-school classes are often having to wait for the teacher to assist the students who are learning from home.

It would be nice to have one-to-one iPads that my students could use to learn while being safe. I currently have two iPads which I constantly need to disinfect in order to allow my four kiddos to use during our asynchronous learning. It's very challenging with all the safety protocols we have in place.
