My students are creative, resilient, and caring individuals. They come from diverse backgrounds and most live below the poverty line. Although my students face many obstacles, they are the most resilient people I have ever known. As high school students, a large number of them have adult responsibilities. Because of COVID-19, a lot of their responsibilities have increased including helping their siblings with their school work and working more hours to help out.
My students would benefit from a variety of classroom resources to help increase their success while engaging in distance learning.
Every day, they continue to learn new material after watching recorded lessons I have created. I am amazed by their participation and perseverance during these difficult times.
My Project
Teachers Pay Teachers is an amazing educational resource that provides thousands of online and printable resources created by teachers for teachers. I would like to be able to use products from Teachers Pay Teachers to supplement my students' online learning. Teaching online is so much more than just transferring classroom assignments into online assignments.
With these Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards, I can purchase resources that will help me create dynamic and interactive online lessons for students as they complete their work at home.
Right now, I am in the process of adapting and creating lessons and activities that are engaging and able to be completed during online learning. For a lot of students, math can be one of the toughest subjects so I will be using the resources I purchase from TPT to help make distance learning easier for my students. Some of the resources I'm looking at purchasing are lessons and activities that I need to adapt for online learning including rational functions, limits and continuity, and trigonometric functions, which will help students understand the content better while learning at home. The Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards will allow me to find engaging resources that are much needed right now and in the future.
