My Students

As a teacher in an urban district, my students come from very diverse backgrounds with some very diverse challenges. No matter what challenges they face or issues they're going through, they come to school excited and ready to learn. It is my job as their teacher to find the most interactive, engaging, and rigorous materials that I can to ensure this excitement continues.

All of my students can be successful, it is my job to help them find the strategies that work for them!

My Project

In fifth grade we do a LOT of testing. This is unfortunate, but true. My students need as much practice as possible with content they may encounter on these tests.

We will be using these materials in small group so that I can make sure my students are as prepared as possible for their academic futures.

These materials will help students compare and contrast fiction and nonfiction text, develop skills in reading comprehension, boost Social Studies and Science knowledge, boost critical thinking skills in Math and Reading, and lastly develop skills in operations & algebraic thinking, number & operations in base ten, number & operations - fractions, measurement & data, and geometry.

All of these things will benefit my students greatly!
