My Project

My students live in rural Arizona and don't have access to many resources outside of school. We are a high needs school where about 80% of students here are on free/reduced lunch. There is also no public library here, so gathering engaging materials for my students to read and learn from is a very big task. My students are eager to learn and are so interested in our social studies content. We do not have textbooks a my school, so keeping the content interesting is something I am always striving for. The materials that I can buy from teachers pay teachers for our upcoming units on Ancient China, Ancient India, WWI, WWII and the Great Depression would be so helpful in keeping the content meaningful, relevant and engaging for my students. TpT has amazing resources, and with no textbooks, I rely on their materials for my lessons.
